IS GINGERBREAD GOOD FOR YOU?

IS GINGERBREAD GOOD FOR YOU?

This week has been all about ginger.

Some people love it, and some people hate it, but the body is definitely part of the former.

Ginger comes from the same family as Turmeric and Cardomom, the first of which is well-known for it’s anti-inflammatory and brain-boosting effects, and the latter of which can help with blood sugar. Clearly, both flavour and health benefits run in the family.

Ginger is great for many things from digestion to sickness to muscle pain (gingerbread doesn’t quite work the same, unfortunately!). Some of the most notable benefits include:

  • Lowers blood sugar
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Reduces muscle pain
  • Reduces menstrual pain
  • Helps with indigestion
  • Helps with sickness
  • Can help with osteoarthritis
  • Can help with brain function

You can get most of the benefits of ginger from just including it more in your food. However, you can also drink it as a tea or blend it with fruit juice to be taken as a shot.

If you want to really find out the ins and outs of your body, understand what affects it, and how to overcome issues you thought you couldn’t, then book in for a consultation.

If you have any questions, then feel free to contact me and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
