NATURAL MIGRAINE RELIEF

NATURAL MIGRAINE RELIEF

Did you know that trying a gluten free diet may be able to help eliminate your migraine headaches? Those with a gluten sensitivity or allergy who consume gluten can trigger a headache.

If you suffer from chronic headaches or migraines, try eliminating gluten for a couple of weeks and then reintroduce it slowly and see how you feel. If the headaches return there’s a good chance you have a sensitivity and that it should be kept out of your diet.

Migraines are a condition that affects thousands of people, and they can become debilitating and get in the way of your quality of life. If you suffer from migraines, here are some tips to help better control them:

Tip #1:  Try Feverfew

The leaves of feverfew are used to make medicine. Research shows that consuming feverfew reduces the frequency of migraine headaches and headache symptoms, including pain, nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to light and noise.

Tip #2: Get Tested for Food Sensitivities

Did you know that food sensitivities can trigger migraines and headaches? Getting tested for these can help you eliminate foods that may be a trigger for you and help you get to the root cause of your migraines.

Tip #3: Try Peppermint Essential Oil

Mixing some peppermint essential oil with coconut oil and applying it to your temples could help reduce a headache. Peppermint oil has a cooling effect and has been shown to increase skin blood flow to the forehead and soothes muscle contraction.

For this week’s challenge, I challenge you to try to get to the bottom of your migraines or headaches by exploring the following:

  • Food sensitivities & allergies
  • Stress
  • Environmental toxins
  • Hormone imbalances
  • Vitamin & mineral imbalances
