Bring a little calm into your life!

What are the benefits of Chamomile Tincture?

Historically, Chamomile (also known as Chamomilla recutita), was used to bring feelings of calm to a person, aid sleep and help support digestion.

Today, the Chamomile herb is used most commonly in tea form to obtain these same benefits, with tinctures like this offering an even easier way to access the benefits of chamomile. The Wellness Practitioner Chamomile Tincture can be taken during the day or at night before going to sleep as it has gentle relaxation effects that will not impact daytime functioning.

What is Chamomile?

Chamomile is the name given to one of several different species in the daisy family (known as the Asteraceae family) that is native to eastern and southern Europe as well as some parts of western Asia. The name chamomile comes from the Greek word “chamos” which means “ground”, due to growing so low on the ground, and “melos” which means “apple”, which refers to the apple-like scent when fresh chamomile blooms.

Why does this Chamomile Tincture contain alcohol?

Alcohol is used as it is an excellent solvent for extracting herbal medicines. The amount of alcohol used in this herbal tincture is small and therefore does not have any intoxicating effects.

All of The Wellness Practitioner range of herbal remedies and nutritional supplements have been tested for safety and quality independently.
