What are the benefits of Siberian Ginseng Tincture?
Historically, Siberian Ginseng (also known as eleutherococcus senticosus) was a popular herb for preventing colds and flu, and was also taken to boost energy and increase longevity.
Today, Siberian Ginseng is used where the body is not coping with life's stresses to optimise its ability to cope, this is because Siberian Ginseng is considered an ‘adaptogenic’ herb. The Wellness Practitioner Siberian Ginseng Tincture can be taken daily for short periods of time.
What is Siberian Ginseng?
Siberian Ginseng is a herb that is part of the Araliaceae family and is native to Northeastern Asia. This herb comes from a small woody shrub with green foliage and whilst Siberian ginseng is the common name, this was changed to eleuthero to avoid any confusion with true ginseng varieties such as Asian ginseng and American ginseng.
Why does this Siberian Ginseng Tincture contain alcohol?
Alcohol is used as it is an excellent solvent for extracting herbal medicines. The amount of alcohol used in this herbal tincture is small and therefore does not have any intoxicating effects.
All of The Wellness Practitioner range of herbal remedies and nutritional supplements have been tested for safety and quality independently.
Who could benefit from taking this Siberian Ginseng Tincture?
